Killing monsters is different from killing people. Monsters are there to be killed, right? But then you're not supposed to hurt people until suddenly you are, or it's ok to kill some people but not others and it's always very confusing and very, I suppose, intimate. Because they're like you.

We're just supposed to kill the monsters but, that girl. She made me mad. She hurt Oriko. I couldn't let it go. It was like killing a witch--I felt the same way. I was proud that I had won and I avenged Oriko. I protected her but I killed someone.

It's weird that I'm not feeling bad.

You're usually supposed to feel bad about killing other humans. That's what people tell you.

But she was going to hurt Oriko.

She deserved it.

She hurt Oriko. I had to. Just because she was a magical girl like me doesn't mean she has any excuse to attack Oriko.

The priest said if I don't feel bad then that's alright. If those other girls are a threat to Oriko then I can't just not do anything. Just because they're magical girls...that doesn't mean they're innocent.
